Default Take a ride on a cat boat! Calling all you monohull owners to come out for a ride!

If anyone is interested in riding a 27 or 33 catamaran you can meet us at places below. We especially want to invite all V hull non believers and naysayers, and anyone previously unimpressed after riding on somebody else's cat boat.
Here is your chance to prove us wrong.
There have been so many threads asking about how cats ride.
We're hoping for some close wind driven chop. The kind that normally make you wish you had stayed home.

Tunnel slap might make you dislike trolling into a head sea on a cat.
You can't force enough air into the tunnel to cushon the ride.
To bring the boat up on plane point in down the trough for the 2 seconds it takes to get up on top then go where you want to go.To a certain point, faster is better

In real 2-3' seas at 35 in a good modified V all the gear stowed loose in the bow is now under your feet in the stern. No body wants to set foot forward of the console. Forget about setting down unless you have a beaner under you.The guys on the boat are now wishing they had bought the deep V with the twins. The boat is dancing around pretty good.

This sea condition is exactly the reason the cat owners bought their boats.
You can still set forward of the console. The boat isn't moving side to side at all. There's no bad compass heading to avoid. You can walk around the boat and set up your gear or rig.

It's a real 2-4' seas day and the deep V guys and the cat guys in the smaller boats are still running. The young guys in the mod V's are slowing down.

In 3-4' The cat guys are still enjoying the ride but have slowed to 25 mph. And overtaking lots good boats that don't like taking the pounding. Who does?

In 4-6' seas we're still diving because we're here but you would'nt head offshore in this crap. You actually have to drive the boat.

Going home in 4-6' crap we're making 18-20 and still up on top zigging so we can stay on plane heading home. No body's setting down but we're not slamming even if we launch. The stern sets down first and the bow compresses air like a shock absorber when it comes down. Lots of sneezing here but we're making good way heading home. My boat's still pretty dry in this stuff.

When the 5-7' seas are reported I'm at home worrying about my bud's that are offshore without weather radar on their XM.
