Need a first stage to use to as tire inflater. Any piece of junk that still functions fairly well would be great - cheap! One I was using crapped out today so have inflater hose and valve stem adapter, just need first stage.

I have an older Scubapro MkV, doesn't have enough ports for most people that I don't need. I should be able to dig out an LP hose to go with it.

If you use the first stage only without a second stage on the rig you are taking a chance of blowing the LP inflater hose if the first stage should fail and creap just a little. Reason being the second stage is a downstream valve and will start slowly leaking when over pressurized.

Exactly what happened with the old one! However, it was because I mis adjusted the 1st stage since I wasn't getting enough pressure on the low side - made a loud pop! I will definitely put an old safe second in the circuit this time, at least until I figure out if it is adjusted correctly.

Better leave the second stage there all the time or you will be replacing hoses regularly. It only takes a slits seepage to get that POP.
