Hey just saw your advertisement here on SFP and gave it a click.

I'm in the market for a high-performance polespear...right now have it narrowed down to the poseidon and gatku. Seems your business address is a few miles from my house, was wondering if I can come look at your product in person? Pretty slick looking spear!

Do you live nearby? Maybe we can go out of Seb so I can set you up on a good spot to give it some legit "product testing"...

Poseidon Spears has become a SFP sponsor and also a sponsor of the St. Pete Open so there will be spears at the event to take a look at.

They didn't want to advertise the company until they launched so I have been holding off on these pics, but here is the trade show sign I made for them last year.

Spear looks nice. Do you only offer the threaded tip for after market points or do you plan on making any straight trips w/ a single flopper? Is that fluted muzzle replaceable?

Thank you Howie for posting the pics. I also wanted to say thank you for making us a kick-ass sign! We were at an event this past wekend and the display was a winner...
I also wanted to let everybody know were thankful for SpearfishingPlanet and happy to be a sponsor for the board and the open coming up. Looking forward to meeting some of you and seeing your thoughts when you see our gear. Now I'm headed to the keys for some bug action, R&D on other stuff.

Hey Kevin, it was great seeing you over the weekend and checking out the gear. I can attest that these spears are well-made and innovative. The hardware is impressively solid. The design concepts are very intriguing and I am looking forward to trying them out myself. And the pricing should make them very competitive with some of the other high-end spears out there.

Checked out both models of polespears yesterday from Erik of Poseidon. Extremely high quality and nice workmanship. As a fellow engineer who has spent 15 years working with advanced composite materials and custom machined parts, I appreciated their design and attention to detail in the workmanship. This pole spear is SOLID.

I was fortunate enough to make it to the SPO prize table soon enough grab one of these. Owner introduced himself and gave me a shirt - was it Kevin? super nice guy and made sure I got the right one for the area I hunt. I haven't used it in the water yet but have been practicing with it. I put a cardboard box on the far side of my garage and accidentally shot a hole in my garage door. It shot about 12 feet across my garage, completely though the dishwasher box and still had enough power to punch a hole through the door. (OK not too bright, I practice outside with it now) This thing has some serious mojo. My other polespear feels like a toy in my hands now. Looking forward to some good vis to give it a try on some meat!

I have a hard time hanging onto it after firing it. Maybe I'm not supposed to. Are you supposed to try and hang onto the band or let it fly like a freeshaft? I imagine in good vis you can just let it fly. I'd hate to let go of it with typical canaveral conditions for fear of loosing it.

that cracks me up about the door, glad the spear is ok though.... as far as the letting go problem might be a little different when in the water, or if you dont want it taking off with a green fish i would have a float line on it... i guess depends on what your hunting though.

Wanted to let you guys know we finally have made our pole-spear a breakdown model! Now you can travel with it going into 3 sections of 28" long.
Here's a quick video of our spear in action over the Holiday break...

    Hey guys,
I'm trying to figure out what model would be best for me,
I love the look of the bluewater camo, but I'm not sure the difference between it and the reef models?
    Anyway you can help?
    Thanks,
    Cole
