If price is not a consideration, I would rank my polespears as follows:

    Riffe> HH> Lance Ohara> Sea Stinger > Gatku > Christ > Manny

I haven't tried any others. And the HH slip-tip is amazing.

I'm currently shooting an 8' Riffe with the HeadHunter slip tip and HH big game band with a 50' or 70' float line.

I have one of these and bought 1 more section to make it longer.

JBL 6 Foot 8 Inch Breakdown Polespear - Two Piece Description:

The gold standard in polespears, JBL's one-piece models are drawn 6063, annealed for extra rigidity. The end result: maximum energy transfer with virtually no flex. JBL machine-swaged each spear for enhanced hydrodynamics. This provides greater speed with minimal water disruption. Travel polespear (two and three piece) feature precision machined unions for seamless fit and feel and allow for infinite extendability. Sling length is fully adjustable and the stainless threaded tip will accept and 6mm (7mm if specified) point.

Riffe is a little heavier, and breaks down into 2' sections.

HH is lighter and a little faster, and breaks down into two 4-5' sections.

Both are great. Not sure which I like better yet.
