Wow, the left-wing idealogues are getting desperate. They stopped calling it "global warming" because there wasn't enough consistent or definitive data supporting it, so they altered it to "climate change". Because more people are beginning to see how this issue is being used as another scam to control people and redistribute wealth (both nationally and globally), the left wing is now turning this from a scientific claim into a human rights issue. When will this madness end?

The term "global warming" was frequently used by scientists as of a few years ago. I don't think any one person changed the term, but you certainly can see how even its more ardent proponents have largely disbanded the term. What was nothing more that a scientific hypothesis that required (and probably deserved) further study became hijacked and politicized by some idealogues for selfish purposes. It was packaged and shoved down peoples' throats as fact. When a scientific issue has to be converted into a human rights issue to force acceptance, it seriously undermines its validity.

As soon as Al Gore grabbed hold of it then you knew it was this decades new cool idea. I think the politicians have done the science a dis-service, but then thats not new.

Turns out that (manmade) global warming is all bullshit. They were hacked and admitted to fudging the numbers to make it seem like warming was taking place.

This scandal is getting uglier each day, even though most US mainstream media outlets won't carry the story. It's incredible how much money has been pumped into the left-wing global warming bandwagon, and it pales in comparison to the money they'll forcibly take from all of us if liberals across the world are able to pass their cap-and-trade scams. It's amusing when I hear liberals deride anyone who disagrees as being opposed to "scientific fact". I guess only "true" scientists are liberals. However, I think this quote illustrates why these same liberals need to take a hard look in the mirror:But they depend on an inherently corrupting premise, namely that the hypothesis on which their livelihood depends has in fact been proved. Absent that proof, everything they represent—including the thousands of jobs they provide—vanishes. This is what's known as a vested interest, and vested interests are an enemy of sound science. Political preferences aside, this profound warning applies to all of us in the academic community, liberal or conservative. I'm surprised that these global warming zealots didn't learn a key lesson from the embryonic stem cell research community. When Dr. Hwang Woo-Suk's "pioneering" discoveries in stem cell research began to smell, that scientific community quickly investigated and exposed him for the fraud that he was. There was no surreptitious international cover-up, no ridiculous denials by various scientists in the face of obvious fraud, no destruction of raw data ( ![]() ), etc. As a result, the stem cell research community gained more credibility than any hyped bloviations from politicians, MSM pundits, movie actors, university PR staff, or legislation could've possibly provided. Whether or not fetal stem cell research will ever provide the promised pie-in-the-sky medical cures (in the face of genuine sincere ethical concerns) remains to be seen. But at least there is some assurance that the scientists involved and their peer-review process are working within some ethical construct. The dumping of raw data by the climate scientists involved is nothing short of shocking and is an unequivocal smoking gun that underscores concerns about the left-wing climate movement representing a dangerous form of fraud. This is a huge taboo in any form of genuine scientific research. I'm required to archive the raw data on all of my research projects, particularly if I'm the PI. If I was audited by the IRB for possible ethical violations and I dumped my raw data, my academic career would be finished...period.

She just doesn't get it, does she? With leaders such as Boxer in power for so long, no wonder our country has gone down the toilet. She and others like her, along with the crap they spew, need to be flushed ASAP.
