I'm sure the same posts can be written about many candidates, but Edwards gets a special category of loathing from me, which compels this post.

Edwards ran for NC Senator, skipping having to be bothered with running for any other office. Though he had no experience, he and other lawyers bankrolled his campaign on his looks, since there was nothing substantiative about him other than huge lawsuits won.

As a freshman senator- he compiled the worst attendance record- even before running for president.

And now, while he was trotting his incurable-cancer wife around during the campaign, he was shacking up with his mistress. Oh, who just had his baby.

Talk about media bias, the Enquirer has been doing stories like this for a year, and only when they had too many witnesses and photographs to ignore it did any press bother picking it up.

I think McCain is a dolt, but there was a series of stories about some woman was romantically involved with him trying to create a scandal. Meanwhile, the ongoing one with Edwards is ignored.

The excerpts from that book are so telling- how he hated 'the common people'.

Can I say again how pissed I am that he ever became a senator? Repeal the fricking 17th amendment. Restore some legitimacy to the Senate and make the interest of the States equally represented as the people. It will also increase local interest in politics. Win/Win/Win.

No doubt, Edwards is the epitome of slime..just covered with a nano-thin slick veneer. You have to wonder how many other of our politicians are involved in garbage like this. Edwards just got caught. I suspect there are many other Democrats and Republicans, both at the federal and state level, who are no better. I've come to mistrust and bitterly despise virtually all of them.
