I agree with you that his fish doesn't look that big because he Florida Pushed it. For freediving records submission- go here: International Underwater Spearfishing Association

There are several world record holders on this board, so you're in good company. Everyone says the most important thing is to get that fish on ice asap before you have it certified- they start to lose a bit of weight. I was near FPT with a guy who shot a WR hog, but it lost almost 2# by the time he weighed it.

Wow!!!! Wish I could drop weight that fast! That florida push thing is freakin funny. I guess the proper way is to hold it tight to your body or stand to one side. I can't wait to get back to NC to look for another big one cause I think I can find another monster...This time I will go through with the correct process. Alot of offshore fisherman ice down thier catch with saltwater to keep them colder. wonder if that would help or hurt the weight loss issue?

I sure do love hunting for those tasty critters!

    10. The use of artificial light sources for night spearfishing is not allowed.

Looks like you can't use flashlights.... guess you can only use moonlight?

This one isn't as big as the first one on this thread, but not too shabby! Got this past weekend on an artificial reef off NC coast...
