No South America section so posting here.
Great viz, 30-60 foot.
Grouper going 15lb, Pargo 30'sh, smaller AJ's around 20lb, some drum and parrots. Good to get in the water again! been a while! Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics. This was in Esmeralda Ecuador

I love a good meat haul. Some great table fare in those bins. What type of structure were you hunting?

I was on tanks. Structure was varied, its weird, a lot of ledges that remind me of the gulf off Tampa but some large rock structures as well, big limestone rocks, some the size of a house. Hope to get down again in a few weeks to whack some more. Wahoo have been heating up, a buddy of mine has been slaying them so going to try and do some freediving an chum them up a bit.

Sounds good. I was thinking of heading down there but didn't work out. In Costa Rica right now on business, but no diving.
You should post some pics of the Galapagos, I am sure you see some fantastic sites there.

I don't frequent the board often, however I enjoy reading the posts when I do. I have a 6 bedroom house in Salinas and have been hunting the Banks and Atolls off Southern Ecuador for the past 2 years. If anyone is interested in putting together a trip, please PM me.
I have a group of 3 coming in from the Tampa Bay Area May 10 - 16th ~ targeting Billfish, Wahoo, and large reef fish. We'll be happy to post some photos of the hunt.

Somebody Stop Me

Just wondering if anyone is still in Ecuador, I unfortunately didn't bring any gear and was wondering if there is any "guides" or anyone you would recommend to go spearfishing with.

I am currently in Cuenca for the next 2 months. Hoping to make at least one spearing trip!
