Default Spear gun rack

Looking for a spear gun rack to mount on the boat. I know Rhino makes one, any others out there that you may recommend or prefer? I have no problem supporting members of this board making ones in their garage or advertisers, as long as it's sturdy and good quality. Prefer it to hold four guns.

I'm very happy with my Spearfishing Specialties racks.

Cut 2" PVC in half 2' long. Mount on board with small bungie. Mount to boat. Total cost, less than 10 bucks. Room for 8 guns on my mount.

Do you have any pictures of your pvc rack? I made two holders by taking the plastic rod holders that fit onto the roll control. Cut them in half and glued neoprene into them to protect the shaft. Worked ok, but you had to place the gun in there and then bungey it immediately or it would fall over. I have to say the Spearfishing Specialties rack is nice, although pricey, as you can hand the gun to the person on board and they can just drop it in there, your gun is secure and they are ready to assist you again.

Bill,
Do these racks keep your spearguns secured enough to where they wouldn't take a beating on the teak or paint? Just bought three Wongs (55" hybrid, 60" S.M. and a 63" Ono), all of which have paint and I'd like to prolong the finish as long as possible. Thanks

Here are some pics of the mounts that are under my top. These are made by gunnelrunners.com and I believe she is a member on here.

If you leave them loose they do rattle around a bit, but when I'm under way I wrap a bungee cord around all of them at the bands to hold them tight against each other. That keeps them from moving. Eventually, the finish will get rubbed a bit, but nothing serious.

My buddy made a four gun rack with pvc pipe that our guns slide into. He heated the pipe and made it oblong, then cut notch's into it for the gun handles to slide into. I will try to get a pic soon.
