Smaller Gulfcoast sections
How bou't breaking up the Gulfcoast section a little since its is so big and different. Like maybe a BigBend/Panhandle section..

How about North of the Suwannee River to Destin. Then maybe West of there LA.

Chris and I discussed this issue when we started the site. We chose to go with a larger area in order for people to get to know one another. We can always change to smaller areas if needed. What is the problem with having posts in the thread from different areas?

For me , i don't get on every day and sometime's don't backtrack to far checking posts. Some post don't last half a day in the gulfcoast section before they are kicked to the next page and so on. Not a big deal but it would be nice to see a post hang around a little longer on the 1st page. Also kinda keeps your area more organized when looking for something instead of being lost in a such a broad area. Not complaining at all. Love the site. Just throwing out an idea !

I would also like to extend the number of posts that show up under "New Posts". I would love to see it go back 10 pages instead of 1 or 2.

I think its just a change for us from the old site where a post from the panhandle stayed up for months or until the next time we went out because there were so few posters. Tampa and central Fl dominates the "gulf coast" section by post. It may sound childish but I liked the extra exposure. Of course there are also alot more trip reports in general on this site than the other board too. I still haven't met alot of the guys from the panhandle who hunt the same waters I do much less the ones from 6 hours away that don't.
But this is motivated, for me, by the totally self serving desire to see my posts get more views.
