 Nope, but you have to set up your face book account to work with SFP AND once you do you have the option to choose if you want your post published on FB or not.

To use face with SFp
Log out Click Login with facebook enter you facebook email and password connect sfp and face Click connect and click "use existing account" then enter your SFP username and password Afteryou complete when you next post you will be given the option to publidh your post on Facebook.

I noticed when I did it it posted that I joined SFP on the news feed and at least one person joined. I do like the fact that email from the planet gets sent to your FB notifications, so if you have a smart phone synced with FB you will recieve any PM's quick. Don't think I am going to post trip reports on FB though. My $0.02
