Relocated from South Florida recently to the Houston area. Looking to get out on scuba or freedive trips from TX or LA. I have an irregular work schedule so will have weekends and occasional weekdays off. Would like to get out with some experienced people from the area so I can get a feel for the conditions and rig diving procedures before deciding whether or not to bring my boat over from Florida.

I've got 15+ years experience spearfishing scuba/free, rec/comm. Somewhat familiar with vertical/overhead structure from industrial diving under platforms in the Bahamas. Licensed captain with safety certs as well. Looking to split expenses and boat duties to get out and kill some stuff. Chris you're in luck. Starting in about 3 weeks (after spring break), my buddy and I are trailering his new 26ft prokat over to Galveston. I'm going to school down in Galveston now and we've been doing our research on the diving here for about 6 months and its finally time to go slay the fish. We typically head out of freeport since the run is a little shorter and the water is somewhat cleaner. I will let you know when we've got room on the boat but you know me, when I go diving I do it right so you'll be in good hands and we will find some fish whether it's pelagics or snapper on the Rigs. Fuel split shouldn't be bad with his suzukis but our average run is about 50mi out. I will keep you in the loop and we should be ready to go in a couple weeks.
